Vendor Guidelines

Please Read Before Applying

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at the Beale Street Art Crawl in Memphis, TN on America’s Most Iconic Street “Beale Street.

The event will be Saturday, October 19, 2019. The event begins at 1pm and ends at 7pm.


Beale Street Fall Art Crawl Call to Visual Artists & Vendors is now open. 
Submission deadline is October 12th. College students must enter "Student Code" for qualification.

Accepting Youth and Adult Visual Artist's & Vendors


Accepted items — but are not limited to:

  • Original paintings (prints are acceptable if original works were created by the artist).

  • Pottery, ceramics, original glass work, jewelry.

  • Photographs (prints are acceptable if original works were created by artist).

  • Books, CD’s, DVD’s originally written, performed, filmed and represented by the artist.

  • Clothing such as T-shirts, hats or caps, scarves when original design is by artist.

  • Fabric items including pillows, throws, kitchen items when original design is by artist.

  • Sculpture, drawings, paper art including handmade cards, crafted items.

  • Culinary Arts: Bakery items (cup cakes, cakes, candy apples) including samples.

  • Handmade body products made or created by vendor.

  • Handmade jewelry made or created by vendor.

Unacceptable items — but are not limited to:

  • Any items which depict nudity, profanity, the use or promotion of illegal or illicit drugs including products that contain alcohol, hemp, CBD or any other forms of cannabis infused or based extracts or otherwise questionable items that could possibly violate the family-friendly environment as determined by the Beale Street Artcrawl Coordinator, Downtown Memphis Commission, & Beale Street Management. 


Dear Music Committee has the right to refuse, revoke or disqualify any vendor at any time for any reason on the basis of vendor activity, merchandise, behavior, direct competition of repeated product of another vendor or downtown business merchant or not abiding by vendor guidelines of the Beale Street Artcrawl. 

Extreme Weather Conditions: The Beale Street Artcrawl is held quarterly throughout the year. In the event of extreme weather conditions such as rain, fog, heat or cold, it becomes the decision of each vendor whether to participate. Also under extreme weather conditions, vendors will be notified if event has been canceled.

  • All vendors who reserve a space must pay preceding the event otherwise the space becomes available to other vendors.

  • Vendors may not block business doorways, driveways handicap parking spaces or handicap ramps. Vendors must leave their space as they found it when they arrived. All trash, tents, tables, chairs must be removed.

  • Vendors should not engage in any disputes with business owners regarding spaces, set-up, displays, or other issues. All concerns should be directed to the Beale Street Artcrawl Coordinator for resolution.

  • Vendors must provide their own tent, table, chairs, generator (electricity). Vendors are responsible for providing their own staffing, set up and break down of their booths and must bring their own funds to provide change for customers.

  • Portable Potty's are located in Handy Park off B.B. King Blvd and Beale Street.

  • Vehicles may be brought in the event area (Beale Street) for set up. Vendor Set-up will be done between the hours of 8AM- 12PM.

  • Breakdown should be done immediately at the end of the event (7pm) when patrons have cleared the event area. No early breakdown or departure is allowed unless it's due to weather or unforeseen circumstances

  • Vendors are responsible for locating their own parking. Parking lots/spaces are located all around the event area (Beale Street). 

  • For specific instructions regarding vendor placement please report to our BSAC Tent as you arrive day of the event. We will be located on the corner of Beale St. & B.B. King Blvd in front of the W.C. Handy Park entrance.

  • Image submissions: Dear Music Nonprofit Organization reserves the right to use images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to online and print media.

  • By submitting your application and payment, you agree to the following: You release Dear Music Nonprofit Organization and all of its affiliates from any damage to your personal property that may occur as a result of participation in the Beale Street Art Crawl.

  • Zero Tolerance Policy: No form of disrespect, physical abuse or derogatory language will be tolerated by vendors nor patrons. Dear Music Staff will alert security for resolution.
